Chekhov's Forgotten Gun

Anton Chekhov

About

Anton Chekhov's ghost reportedly haunts a theater in Moscow. Witnesses say he appears in Act One, points dramatically at a prop on the mantelpiece, then vanishes. By Act Three, stagehands are frantically searching for whatever he was pointing at, terrified of violating his famous principle. The prop? A fire extinguisher. It has never been used, and Chekhov grows more agitated each performance.
